BOOKED LAMB

Eid al-Adha, also called Feast of the Sacrifice is an important 4-day religious holiday celebrated by Muslisms worldwide. This festivity celebrates the history of the Prophet Abraham: he had to sacrifice his son Ishmael in obedience to a divine revelation. Abraham was willing to obey and to see his son dying. When Abraham was about to slay his son, God stopped him and replaced the boy with a ram. In those days an Islamic rule prohibits any type of asceticism and requires fasting. In the photo, Imad holding a lamb from L'Aquila. La Eid al-Adha, anche chiamata festa del Sacrificio, è un'importante festa religiosa di 4 giorni celebrata dai musulmani di tutto il mondo.Questa festa celebra la storia del profeta Abramo che doveva sacrificare suo figlio Ismaele per obbedire ad una rivelazione divina. Abramo era pronto ad obbedire e a vedere suo figlio morire. Al momento del sacrificio, quando Abramo stava per uccidere suo figlio, Dio lo fermò e sostituì il ragazzo con un montone. In questi giorni una norma islamica vieta qualsiasi tipo di ascesi e obbliga al digiuno. Nella foto, Imad tiene in mano un agnello proveniente da L'Aquila.
